Summary

Corporate insiders filed 1,020 open-market purchases worth $85.9M across 375 TSX, TSXV, CSE and NEO companies in September 2026. That is 6% more purchases and 13% more companies than August, but total dollars fell 26% from $116.3M.

One buyer drove much of the total. Loblaw Companies made 22 purchases of EQB Inc. shares for $38.8M, about 45% of the month. Excluding Loblaw, insider buying was $47.1M in September versus $90.2M in August.

Helus Pharma: the biggest cluster of the month

At Helus Pharma (formerly Cybin), five insiders bought $7.4M across eight purchases.

• Michael Halstead (CEO): $1.35M on Sep 21 at $13.47, raising his holding by 146%.
• Eric So (Co-Founder): $3.57M across three purchases between Sep 1 and Sep 8.
• Paul Glavine (Co-Founder): $2.43M across two purchases on Sep 3 and Sep 8.
• Gregory Cavers (CFO): a $55K new position on Sep 29.
• Gabriel Fahel (Chief Legal Officer): $36.5K on Sep 15.

Other notable buying

• Altus Group: Director William Brennan made seven purchases between Sep 8 and Sep 21 totalling $2.78M at about $44 to $47 per share. CEO Michael Gordon added $160K on Sep 22.
• Morguard: Director Sime Armoyan made nine purchases between Sep 8 and Sep 29 totalling $1.66M at about $114, all near the stock’s 52-week low.
• Element Fleet Management: Three insiders bought near 52-week lows. CEO Laura Dottori-Attanasio bought $1.01M at $25.24, Director Andrea Rosen bought $496K (raising her holding 200%), and Jose Tamayo bought $42K.
• Boyd Group Services: Director David Brown bought $997K at $126.24, raising his holding by 148%.
• TelyRx Holdings: 10% shareholder Benjamin Atkins bought $2.36M at $2.59 on Sep 11.

• Homeland Nickel: President Stephen Balch bought $148K, a 780% increase in his holding.
